Working with Password Reset Classes

Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) classes define how each user is verified when resetting their passwords. Users in a class with more control over the system might require more detailed verification than others.

To add, copy, or delete Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) classes, select 12. P-R Classes from theMulti Factor Authentication (MFA) screen. The Work with Classes screen appears.

For each currently defined class, the screen shows the following:

Class

The name of the Class. The special value "*DFT" represents the default class, with values that are assigned to new users for whom classes have not yet been set.

Text

A free-form text description of the class.

 

Enter the Password Reset Class definitions and press Enter. The new Password Reset Class is added and now appears in the Work with Classes screen.

To add Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) classes, press the F6 key. The Add New Class screen appears, (shown in ).

To modify a Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) class, type the digit 1 in the Opt field for the class then press Enter. The Modify Class screen appears (shown in Modifying Classes).

To copy a Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) class, type the digit 3 in the Opt field for the class then press Enter. The Copy Classes screen appears (shown in Copying Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) Classes).

To delete a Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) class, type the digit 4 in the Opt field for the class then press Enter. The Delete Classes screen appears (shown in Deleting Password Reset Classes).
