Firewall now supports Mapepire’s actual IP address. Mapepire is a cloud-friendly database access layer used with IBM i. This improvement helps administrators apply access rules and monitor activity using the real source IP, improving visibility and control.
Better control of Firewall statistics
A new DLTFWSTT command has been added to daily maintenance. It lets administrators define how much Firewall statistics data is retained for Business Intelligence.
This helps control data growth while preserving the information needed for reporting and analysis.
Cleaner, more relevant logs
SQL DECLARE and VALUES statements are no longer recorded in the Firewall log because they do not have a direct security impact.
The result is a cleaner log, less noise, and faster investigation of events that really matter.
Additional recent improvements
Recent releases also added support for the SQL SET_PATH verb, improved Visualizer statistics maintenance, and enhanced visibility into where a user or group is used within Firewall security definitions.
